We had another "blizzard" Tue and Wed. We got a foot of snow, and then it rained for about 8 hours. I am supposed to take my Mom for a MRI this morning and there's ice everywhere.

My Mom and Aunts got a letter from the town saying they were going to be fined $20 an hour until they cleaned the sidewalk in front of their house. The snow is about 8 feet high there. The town plows put it there. A big loader came the other day and pushed over the pile on the corner onto their hedges, and yesterday's snow just filled it's place.

I told them to write a few letters. Nobody is going to shovel through 8 feet of hard packed snow and if they suggest we hire someone, a truck with a plow isn't going to help either.

I hate where I live.

When you hear the plow truck coming, have her out there with a shovel in hand.

Our plow drivers are so cool, the drop the gate where the walk comes down to the road, even though it isn't a driveway there. They pay attention.

C'mon up. There's a house for sale two doors down. No sidewalks in this neighborhood!

When I close my eyes, I dream of Alaska and other wild places but I take care of 5 little old ladies here, and they wouldn't last a week without me. I'm guessing a half hour to 40 minute move would be about the best I could manage. If I hop the border to MA, my taxes will drop dramatically and I can probably get 7 or 8 acres of land for $120K or so and put a little ranch house on it and get it designated as a farm. I'd have more room to breath and it would save me money day to day.

We like little old ladies up here, too. But bet it would be difficult to uproot them from there...

They have busier social calendars than I do. I have them locked up right now because of the ice. I brought my Mom for a MRI yesterday, and today they want me to bring them to the hairdressers. Ugh.

MissT, don't give up. We need some cute single guys up here - especially fly-fishing fellas willing to drive us to the hairdressers every once in a while.

Joining a fly swap is by far the surest way I know to make life get really busy. Just joining resulted in working the last 11 days straight.

I only do fly swaps for the overtime! wink

Oh, and I'd be liking March 31 as a deadline.

Do you mean for this Swap, or for the next?
