It took me a minute to figure out the PINS means Padre Island National Seashore. (I mention it in case anybody else didn't know.)
I'd love to come. I fondly remember surf fishing Padre Island back when I was in pilot training in 1970. We'd drive over from Laredo on a Friday afternoon to fish, camp, drink beer and stare longingly at the bikini parade... Then drive back Sunday in time to get paid for yanking and banking jets around the sky.
Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.

we need to try and come up with a date, i like July but June or August would work as well. Our Quemado Campfire gathering is scheduled for mid-July. Either June or August would work better for me, but you should just pick a date when the fishing is going to be good.

august and even Sept are prime fishing months. the two big tournaments are held end of august first weekend of Oct. surf is full of bait fish during that time period.

I'd love to join the party if I can. Several things already scheduled this summer so would depend on when the deal comes off.
I'd have to get somebody to hold my hand if I get there because I don't know the first thing about surf fishing. Boat yes shore no.
