How many guys are using Remington 788's. I have had a bunch, mostly 243's and 308's plus a few 30/30's and one 222. This is my current 788 in 308.

I LIKE 429CJMach1 - Fast & Quick??

As per post - I had a 788 in 243 W. It shot well, wasn't exceptionally heavy (IIRC). It was in my early rifle yrs. Sold it and bought Rem 700 - 270W. BOTH were very good rifles.

I never was crazy about the mag extending below bottom of stock. Didn't hurt anything. Wish I could have the 788 back now.

BSA - I don't REMEMBER much of the specs. Look at the pic in OP.

Mine had 22" bll, detachable, single stack mag. The stock was NOT wide or bulky. Balanced well and shot fine.

I'm sure there are folks here who can give MUCH BETTER specs.

Thanks for understanding.

That looks like the stock mine had except for recoil pad.

222, 243, 7mm-08, 30-30 and .308 have all graced my safe. The .243, 7mm-08 and the .308 still reside there

I bought one in .30-30 and she is a shooter for sure. Sorry for the dark pictures but I put some close up shots in there to show off the wood.
