It was a great store when Mr. Sam was still in charge. I had the pleasure of meeting him once in 1988. I went in the Abilene store to return a broken fishing rod, and he was working the door as a greeter. No lie, he was a super nice gentlemen! He was wearing kakis slacks & a ball cap. shocked He would fire who ever is in charge of product imports if he was alve today....
I like Walmart A LOT better than Target, K Mart or some of the others.

Rost also makes a great point about a lot of the businesses that were put out by Walmart. What are you gonna do if you're a young family man whose wife works also and you're both gone during "business hours". Mom and Pop stores' refusal to change to meet the demands of their demographic along with other things are one of the big reasons they're gone and Walmart remains.

Just picked up a Sig M400 at Walmart the other day. Planning on getting it out to the range this weekend.

Hope it shoots nice, it is my first AR and looking forward to playing with it and learning about AR rifles.

+1
Where I grew up the mom and pop stores that survived were those who had established a reputation for honesty and reasonable markups.

I have to buy where my money gets the best return.

Last time I was in Wal mart in Anchorage they had a fine selection of handguns. Kind of surprised me as they have no guns here in mid Michigan

That's great. Walmart's around here used to carry handguns, but don't anymore, as of yet.

my locl walmarts have plenty of ar15's but none on the shelf. just after recieving them they got a letter from corp walmart saying the the state of va. would not allow them to sell any guns with more than 20rd mags.this make know sense because every guns shop in the state sells ar's and others with 30rd mags. i read the letter,i'd like to know who dreamed this law up.

i told them o tke 30rd mags to a gunshop and trade them for 20rd'ers and sell them.
