Mine is a NY gun. I also have a Kimber classic from NY.

The "control" round feed does not make them as slick as a push feed but you get used to it.

Fit and finish on a Oregon 82 is better but I've not found them to be anymore accurate than the NY version. One big reason to buy the NY Kimber is the mags are easy to find, work great, and are fairly cheap. KoO Kimber mags are a bitch to find, and when you do its gonna hurt.
One thing I will say for the KoO Kimber 82 had the sweetest safety I've ever used. Smooth and quiet. I wish KoA Yonkers would have kept that. The Mauser/M70 style used now sucks ass. All I've owned were/are a pain in the ass, award and stiff.

I have a bunch of Oregon 82 .22 rimfires, and unlike most collectors, I've shot every one of them. All of them, except one, will do .5 with mundane ammo like Federal American Eagle HP. The one that won't will do it with some of the higher end Eley stuff. The mags for them will run $50 but you can also use Win. 320 mags that can be found for $25. I have never had either a KoO 82 mag or Win 320 misfeed; they just work. I have a KoA K22 as well. It's a great shooter too, just not as well finished as it KoO safemates. The K22 mags are actually Rem. design 500 series mags. The first two I had were junk and they replaced them. The new ones were better but fed really rough until I did some adjusting of the follower and feed lips.

i have shortened the lifespan of a number of tree rats with a Classic Varmint, this one in 17Mach2. glass was switched out since that pic, was weaving a Weaver V16 back then, currently has a 5-15x B&L on it. counting the days till cool weather comes back, looks like good pecan crops this year in areas i checked, looking forward to hitting the woods with it again.

Every time you post that pic .. I'm amazed at how white their bellies are/were ... never shot any with that "pure" of a white.

ya know, i never really noticed that, but now you mention it, they are kinda unique...another pic, from another year, nepehw was hunting the same woods, also fairly white, but pix wre not as close so hard to see...

that same area had a few solid black squirrels, which i have only seen a few times over the years here.

on my place, about an hour south of the first place:

kind of a lousy pic, plus these got jumbled around some in the game bag..
