Here is the bullet recovered from the goat in my avatar, the hide caught the first one and the second went through. Impact velocity 3100 fps +, 113.6 gr (87.4%) .688" diameter. Judging from how this one works I would definitely try them in other calibers in the future. Here is a link to a thread from HuntingBC's owner, Marc, who used a 6.5 Creedmore to take a nice meat bear with the 130 gr Scirocco's. He posts a picture of the recovered bullet on the second page. Other guys have taken moose as well with them from a 260 Rem and reported excellet results as well. http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/showthread.php?67585-Loaded-for-Bear So that is what they look like when recovered. I have yet to recover one myself. I'm using the 308 SII 180gr.

Bob....
I have not used the 130 .277, but my 6.5x55 puts the .264, 130 SII into tiny groups on a regular basis. I only started using the bullet last fall and killed a buck with it so more test subjects are needed before drawing any conclusions about it. The deer was close and the bullet exited.

mm: Thanks....It's all good!Feed back on any is helpful....they don't get much love on here so I am thankful for all the info I can get.
They seem to have gotten uniformly "tough" and able to penetrate reasonably well for a bonded bullet with a substantial frontal area.....did your wound channels look good?Expansion and so forth?
Can't imagine anything went very far...

I'm trying to get the 130 SII's to shoot in my .260 currently.
They don't like to be close to the lands. I've backed them out and am awaiting time for a range trip.
Thanks for the bullet reports -

A few years back I had a bunch of depredation tags to thin the herd with. Using the 90gr SII's from a Ruger #1 in 6mm Rem, I ran 13 straight on mature whitetails (mostly doe) and did not catch one bullet. Mostly shoulder shots to keep them out of the crp. I have not used the rifle since then. Still have a box with 7 rounds left though. Nice to see a pic of one posted by gerrygoat. Always wondered what they looked like.

How are they outstanding? They were quite accurate in my gun, shoot flat and what I really liked is at close range they held together putting a good wound channel through without a lot of bloodshot meat which is important to me. When I shot the first goat at 80 yards or so it just stiffened up and fell over and I thought when I dress him out this is going to be messy but it was the exact opposite. O my I'm glad to here this! I've NEVER got a SSII to shoot, after hearing this I WILL try them(130's) in the 6.5x47L when I get it back hopefully they will perform. Goat when you say "quite accurate" are they CONSISTENTLY quite accurate?

I can say the 150 7mm's have been accurate in a couple of 9 twist 7 mags and a 7mm Dakota....but I have struggled with the 130 in my 270's and suspected it was twist. I have a 9 twist now...we will see.
