Need some new waders. Haven't bought any in years. Always wore Boot Foot Waders, but it doesn't matter at this point. What are the good brands to buy? Boot Foot or Stocking Foot?

I use the Sims G3 and have used them in all kinds of water including Alaska the last few years. Never have let me down.

I was needing a new set up for stream fishing trout and smallmouth. I just picked up a pair of Reddingtons escape waders and simms flyweight wading boots from a guy that bought them new last Nov and never used them. Got them both for $250. Figured for the price I couldn’t go wrong, and they fit me great.
I haven’t even had a chance to use them yet.
Prior to that I was using orvis brand, they served me pretty well although just a tad big on me.

Depends on your budget and how much use. I bought orvis, cabelas and reddington in the past. They lasted a year or two. About 10 years ago I purchased some Simms G3 waders. I’m still using them for fishing and duck hunting. Buy once cry once.

I bought Simms "Guide Weight" in 2000 - their best wader at that time.
Been back to Simms 3 times for "fluff and buff"
The 3rd time you get the red stamp which means "no more".
They are still going, but they are only used for summer steelhead.
The wife has settled on Reddington, their higher end offering.

With waders you pay up front or pay in increments if buying cheap waders.
