Found this in the local shop, never seen one in 3030 before, had a 223/20 I sold and shouldn't have.
Probably not has practical having a 30WCF on top, but it is kind of neat.

What is a good price on one of these?
Well I have always felt the 30-30/20ga had more uses than the .223.

A lot depends on condition and accessories.
Is it wood or conposite?
Being in the market for one it boils down to the condition, fit & finish of the gun. Does it function as it should or does it need a little TLC? How's the metal finish,is the bore smooth and shiny or pitted, the wood in great condition? No cracks in the stock. All original? How does it shoot?

Thanks
Mark
Last one I watched in March on Gunbroker sold for $855.
It looked to be in good shape, a little finish wear to be expected but bores looked great. Had a scope mount on it, not sure if they came with mount holes or it was drilled and tapped.
Synthetic I believe
If it was the factory style scope mount those are desirable, not necessarily worth a ton. Synthetic is generally deemed cheaper, but depends on your usage.

I figure it this way, they are not making any more of them and if you can use it and have the cash it is worth a place in the safe, but I sorta have a fondness for them, Center fire models were made in less quantities that .22LR, but some calibers are much rarer than 30-30.

From what I have seen, they made them in .17HMR, .22lr, .22 Hornet, .223, .30-30Win, 222Rem, .357 Magnum, & .357 Rem Maximum. Most over 20ga, but a lot less over 12ga. One of the models they sub'd out to Valmet was shotgun over rifle and came in .308/12ga and .222REM/12ga.

I have been told there is a 24 model that is .308 over 12ga like the normal 24, but I have never been able to see one. I would like one of those. I have 2 30-30/20, a .223/20, a .22lr/.410, and a .357 Mag/20ga. So yeah, I like them.

synthetics are not the most desirable, one sold on G.I. for 899 that was wood
I had both the 2400 Savages. These were made by Valmet. The barrels are not interchangeable with the 412. I had the 308/12 and the 222/12. Sold the pair for $3000. Couldn't pass up the sale.
