I can tell you one thing - that bunch won't sit for it again. As a prison guard I took spray a number of times for various reasons. I would shoot anyone who tried to do it to me again. I stood up in training a let the whole room know if they ever "accidentally" sprayed me again I was taking it personal. And guess what, word got around.
Then my own bear spray got me in the middle of a dark night in the mountains this summer. Boy was it hard to appreciate the irony.
These made for TV moments show how easy it is to manipulate tyrannical governments. If those people didn't have a free meal ticket from you and I they wouldn't be sitting there in the first place.
IMO the paintball "markers" were a terrible idea there. Not so much that they shouldnt be used, but that the officers looked like B movie black ops wannanbes. It looked foolish.

I said it was staged from the beginning. All their clothes were chosen specifically for it. Most people would have been confused and scattered, if it was a spontaneous act as the Marxist news portrayed.
Yup, in the sixties, the rioters got the taste of butt steel from the backside of M14's. Their teeth got bashed out of their heads and blood flowed in the streets. These students are just lucky that the libs are in charge now and go easy on them.
