Just watching this live,.....you could hear a pin drop in the place, and ignite wet tinder with the glares he's getting from a lot of our so called, "Partners" there.

GTC
I've been listening online. He basically said if North Korea doesn't shape up, they'll be wiped from the face of the earth. Then went on to talk about how bad our deal with Iran is. He's currently reading Venezuela the riot act. Basis of his entire speech is all people deserve to live in peace and prosperity and socialism isn't delivering on that promise.

Love it. Well done, as usual, Mr. President.
Ah, the axis of evil.

He is doing one H-E-L-L of an impressive job delivering it, too!

I'm hoping this gets LOTS of airtime, whether supportive or from D-Bags and comedians, ......Win / Win either way, a LOT of his closing statements are going to resonate with his "Base".

Damn fine piece of speech writing, although it could and should have been a bit shorter........Only a few stumbles,...and those on words that any of us might garble a bit, under pressure.

Well done, Mr. President ,

I love it too !

Wish Trump could clone then seat/appoint himself 1000 times over, then the work would get done.

And fu-k the un, the donkeys they hobbled in on and the chit eating dogs that followed!
Fine speech!
He keeps that up and they'll find a way to eliminate him.
our so called 'allies' are as big a threat to our sovereignty and safety as are our enemies.
He just has to make a deal grin

That is in keeping with Trumps dialogue through the years attack and refute anything he can to curry favor with the press. He is at his best when he's attacking. It was an interview with the malfeasant Wolf Blitzer. I suppose the millions of Iraqi citizens that died from Saddam's foibles could be ignored since they weren't actually considered a minority but fact is he was paying Terrorists $25k each for every successful terror bombing might be a bone of contention. That's ignoring the WMD's that every country believed him to have. Ever wonder where Syria got their poison gas from? I don't.

Trump is who I voted for since I had no other choice but he has been a liberal all his life and we have millions of feet of tape from press interviews to prove it. The guy made his name placing himself in front of a camera every chance he got and the press loved it as long as he was singing their tune.

Time will tell and history will record what Trump is able to accomplish in his tenure. If he does nothing more than mark time until we can replace most of the senate and house and all their forlorn leadership he will have been a yuge success. Perhaps then we can actually consider a conservative that will be able to do what he promised.
More winning.

'Donald Trump was on the Reagan Finance Committee in 1979-80 when most of the New York financial elite were for George Bush or John Connally,' the former campaign aide told Daily Mail Online, on condition of anonymity.

Trump and his father Fred were in the room when Reagan announced his candidacy in New York City in 1980, he explained, adding that without Trump the 40th president might have been dead in the water.

'When the phone company said it would be 30 to 60 days before they could install our phones at the Reagan for President headquarters on 52nd street,' he recalled, 'I called Donald Trump. They installed the phones the next day.'

'Donald also let us use his helicopter to fly our delegate petitions to Albany, where we filed 15 minutes before closing at the board of elections.'

And Fred Trump 'loaned the campaign some space in a building he owned in Queens,' the Reagan veteran said. 'Donald got us space on 52nd street. They were among a handful of Reagan's earliest New York Supporters.'

I guess Ronald Reagan was a liberal as well.
We need to withdraw and de-fund the U.N.

The U.N. IS one world government. Nothing but pussies.
We need allies, Trump told them to get some ballz or we'll kick azz without asking for permission. He made it clear most of them will pay more to hide behind our shadow, you'll pay to use the bully to fix your problems. Fugg you Iran, you're on our chiit list no matter what BS deal was struck in the past. Your countries will alter trades to our advantage, and the American middle class will benefit from it.

America first #MAGA

Bravo to Mr.T, bravo

According to Bolton on Hannity last night, we contribute 22% of the UN's general budget and 28% of the UN's military budget. The Chicom's only contribute 3% of the general budget, he didn't mention what they contributed to the military budget. But, you are right, if we stopped our contributions, that bloated debating society would soon come to a screeching halt.

^^^This!^^^ Thanks rockinbbar.
Never Trumpers are realizing they don't know squat about President Trump. Could be they just don't know squat about anything.
it's pretty clear he was speaking to the russia, china, iran, syria, north korea, venezuela alliance, and their kind.

it's still the same-o, and Trump spelt it out: the us, israel, western europe and japan trying to maintain some semblance of order.

the other over 100 countries had better toe the line or read it and weep. and i think he meant every word he had to say to that august group assembled at "the roundtable."

Can Venezuela even afford to send a representative to the UN?

We have no idea what Trump's role in our country's future is at this point. He could be a transformative figure like FDR or Reagan, or his sole purpose might be as an emergency plumber that is called in to stop the leaks until we can get the general contract to come and sort things out.

Sometimes you need a subtle touch to do a good job, and other times you need an anvil. Trump is an anvil. He hammered HRC and the Klinton Crime Syndicate out of existence. He saved the Supreme Court for the time being. He put the World on notice that little pissant countries are not going to dictate terms to us and we will no longer stand idle while the Muslims hoards pick apart Western Culture and subjugate it to Islam. It takes a blunt instrument in times like these that see that European leaders have bought into Multiculturalism and tolerance and think that any conflict between cultures can be solved with "education" and "awareness". To be frank, Trump is standing up and pushing back against the matriarchal control of Western Culture, especially in Western Europe. Eastern Europe and Russia are having none of this matriarchal call for inclusion and conformity.

As much as I despise that worthless institution, I will make a case for staying in it.

Without a presence in the UN and on the Security Council, the rest of the World could have a field day passing endless punitive sanctions and actions against us. Without us being in the body, there is nothing we can do. Stay and irritate the [bleep] out of them.
Lots of good things in the speech. I thought this line was particularly potent: "The problem in Venezuela is not that socialism has been poorly implemented, but that socialism has been faithfully implemented."

He went on to denounce socialism and communism in very clear terms: "From the Soviet Union to Cuba to Venezuela, wherever true socialism or communism has been adopted, it has delivered anguish and devastation and failure. Those who preach the tenets of these discredited ideologies only contribute to the continued suffering of the people who live under these cruel systems." (bold mine)

We've had Presidents speaking out against foreign communist regimes before but I think this was a clear shot across the bow of domestic socialists as well.

Good speech.

there it is. they could only have attended with the help of oil revenues they recieved for gasoline sold to china. of course the us subsidizes a yuge part of the un costs to do business. to be a un diplomat would be good work, if one could get it.

an assemblage of "all" the countries in the world is the un. the good ole us taxpayer ensures the ability of the party to continue.
This is a bit of hearsay but the UN is filled with nepotistic appointments from petty regime leaders all across the globe. "Hey, Mr. President for Life, rich contributor here, my sister's boy needs a cushy high paying job where he doesn't have to do anything since he is a miserable spoiled brat with no job skills". "Well, certainly, Mr. Rich Contributor, I'll find a spot for him on our UN delegation."

Stories from the tsunami in SE Asia abound with tales of UN bureaucrats demanding 5 star accommodations and treatment on board the US aircraft carrier there while doing little or nothing to help the injured and homeless people on shore while their hosts, the US Navy, busted their balls working to get supplies ashore and take care of people.
Good grief, that was a GREAT speech!!
such a contrast from the prior president. reading between the lines, i think he put a lot of people on notice both on economic and military terms.
I think it wasn't a speech per se, but was putting various entities on notice on what was gonna happen in the future. More of a churchill, than a chamberlain.
Did you see the entourage that followed him lastly? I counted about 14 individuals made up of SWAT, firemen, helo pilots, EMT and God knows what else. Definitely prepared for whatever!

Sure seemed the Prime Minister of Israel appreciated the stark words. He definitely didn't hold back. Loved it when he told others to pay up!!

On the flip side, I was pouring a glass of water and almost dropped the glass.when he said some would go to Hell. And of course he used Rocket Man. Had to know he would!

Quite the speech.

This.

Well said, hatari. Only would add, make'em pay up or dry up our funding gradually and steadily until they get the message. Same for NATO, with the funding bit.
Well it was a speech which could not have been given on any college campus in the US without the professors and students rioting. If the UN paid their parking tickets how long would that fund NYPD?
Pavementends
I thought it was great how he started out, welcoming them to HIS City and HIS Country. smile Putting them on notice that America will Come First. smile

Like this, and your immediately preceeding post as well, H.

Not saying they don't need gone, and in typically impatient fashion would say the sooner the better.

The time has got to be right, and this doesn't strike me to be the right time.

So, the stoolie from Venazuela says-- 'we don't know if we are hearing Trump or Reagan"

What a compliment to our President!!
I think we'd get along very well without the UN.

What sanctions are they gonna put on us? Stop importing cheap Chinese schidt?

Maybe if they did we would put American workers to work building cheap schidt and off of welfare?

I also think we are able to forge allies without the UN ganging up. Those countries that are our allies can be bought without input from the UN.

Uh...that was the promise. Wasn't it?
I listened to it again tonight with my wife. What a fantastic speech! I didn't hear anything with which I disagreed. I'm so glad that he is our president.
