Earlier this year I got to play with a camp set in 01 that Tim Olt made. I liked it, and made a few suggestions. Tim then made me a set that matched what I wanted. They arrived in yesterday's post, and I am very pleased with the results. The little hatchet chops well, and the knife is just right for many camp tasks.

I like that knife more than a little.

Nice..
Along with the jimping on the back of the hatchet blade, Tim smoothed the edges where you grip the the hatchet handle. Now it is comfortable slicing or carving. I was out in the rain yesterday whacking stuff. The hatchet does a great job with hardwood, chopping and cutting. The knife is quite a worker. I was able to carve, notch, make feather sticks and baton firewood.
If it stops raining, I will get back out to the national forest soon and test them in a real world environment.
The knife blade is 6 inches, the little hatchet is 12 inches in length.

Beautiful..
I believe I handled that pair this Spring at the Michigan Get Together! Wanted to buy the knife and liked the axe!
I really dig the design on that hatchet, really cool.

Beautiful scales to boot. What are they?
Clintsfolly. Were you the one interested in the sheep handled drop point in pics I had at the shoot????

BGG. That is some killer maple from the MI U.P. Wish I had more.

fwiw:
I have 1 of those hatchets available that does not have a handle yet.

I am making 2 of that knife pattern in the next S35VN run. One is for 405wcf

Sam has been a great friend and a tremendous source to bounce designs off of.
He has come up with some really cool and useful patterns also.

Thanks to all. Tim

Good for you. Gonna match some grips correct.
