I don't know if these were pulled from 308 or 30-06. I don't know what the blue tip means. My Cart of the World show 50 cal blue as Incendiary, but no blue tip in 30 cal. These appear a pale blue compared to the 50 cal blue. The base appears to be a tracer substance, but tracers are orange tip. These might be something else with a tracer. They weight 131 grs

I just did a little look into the web and from what I see, that color is generally used for incendiary rounds.

I suspect ex-30/06 due to the flat bases. They look like a couple of 30/06 incendiary rounds I landed in a trade once.

OK - Thanx. I guess my COW is a bit dated or forgot about these. I never knew they did Incendiary 30 cal stuff.

Since the normal US military rifle bullet is by default inert, those should be incendiary. If they were say 25mm or 30mm cannon projectiles, the blue would indicate inert, 'dummy', or training ammo.
