Redneck,I havent forgot about our talk. Its about a more compact and lighter rig. Turns out the factory stock on mine is 1.82 pounds..which is 28-29oz? Thats what Most of the better after market stocks are weighing according to their site info...save for MPI and maybe LoneWolf @16oz and lower, the previous I have been advised against ALOT. Not to mention I've been given quotes from said Companies in the $600-$900 amount. Finished and installed by stock manufacturer. The Mcmillan Edge is still over $500 and around 21-24oz according to them..which shaves only half a pound or slightly more at best. Too much for me. I'm thinking at these prices I'll just hold out for a good used gun in the caliber. And give up on the idea of something "customized" for me since stocks alone are as much as a factory gun with some good glass on it. Maybe more manufacturers will start making .257s again and I can go that route. Just wanted something built for "Me".
