I have hunted for 40 of my 49 years and taken many deer and much small game. I have only hunted Georgia, NC, Alabama and SC. Almost all of my hunting takes place in SC.
I belong to a club with 10,000 acres of land in mid South Carolina. it is very diverse. We have hardwoods, pine thickets, tall pines, food plots, swamps, powerlines, and clearcuts of different ages. 1700 acres is in a county that allows baiting ( I have not done this) and opens in August ( too hot and a lot of bugs) It also has humongous bucks. the main area is 0ver 6000 acres and there is a 14" minimum outside spread on bucks. The limit on this tract is 3 bucks and 5 does. We also have another 2000 acres of very diverse land that one can shoot whichever legal deer comes by. All 3 tracts are within 15 minutes of each other. Our campground is on Lake Wateree and we have a cooler, electricity, and lake frontage with fantastic fishing. We also have small game and duck hunting. We also have a decent population of wild hogs. The largest deer we got last year ran into the side of a pickup during the rut and scored over 150 pts. the club harvested 250 deer total.
Is there anyone out there who would like to begin a dialogue about swapping out a 2 or 4 day hunt with me. There would be no cost to you other than licenses, approximatley 200.00 or less.
I would like to hunt out west, the mid west or up north. Alaska or Canada or the Rockies area would be awesome. We'd have to chat and make sure we're on the same page about things and would hit it off. I am very much a sportsman, not a game hog, a good shot, and most say a pleasant guy to be around.
Any thoughts, ideas? takers? if you don't want to swap, could you arrange a hunt for me and I'll pay for it. if it's one I want and reasonable.
