I have a Kessler Westchester 12ga bolt action clip fed shotgun. I have tried to get some info on this gun from a few sources with no luck. There are no serial numbers that I can find and I've never met anybody who has had or heard of them. The only markings on it say "Kessler Westchester Buffalo Bill Cody (in cursave) 12ga 2 3/4 INCH Full choke Pat. Pending". Any info would be interesting let me know.

The only bolt action shotgun that Winchester made that I am aware of is the M41. They were made between 1920--1934. They were not serialized. Kessler Wholesale was a large distributor much like Lew Horton today. Winchester made some shotguns with the Kessler name for their stock.

I was just willed the same gun from my father. No serial numbers here either. I contacted a few gun collectors and they said it is from a period between 1935 - 1968. Poss. German made. Poss. distributed by some mom and pop hardware store. They also said that bolt action shotguns are worth next to nothing. One guy said between $25-50. My stock is cracked and I am missing the clip. Did you find out anything? I want to keep mine for the sentimental value. If you are interested in selling yours so I can make one (providing the stock is ok and you have the clip), let me know.
