We do to. I had great food in South Carolina. Unless it was steak than I'll have to with Kansas City, MS or the Rib and Chop House in Billings.

I like Jakes much better.

Back when the Rex was good.....and open.....it was great too.

Is that local? Jakers used to be Jakes, so if that is the case I'll have to respectfully disagree. But to each his own.

My brother is a police officer in Missoula for the past 29 years. He calls it Berkley, MT. Bozeman is catching up though.

Jake's in Billings is still Jake's. No connection to Jakers.

Agree with that. Last time I was in the one in GF they had me sign a waiver to get a medium rare burger.

No schitt.

I must emphasize..LAST TIME.

Reminded me of something candy-assed you'd run into from Missoula or in a Fern Bar in Bozo...

Good to know. If it is better than the Rib and Chop House I may never leave since it would be Heaven. Is it easy to find?

There are two locations. The original, which I prefer solely based on atmosphere, is kitty-corner to what used to be the Sheraton hotel downtown (no longer the Sheraton but it's changed so many times I haven't kept track). There's a newer one close to the west-end Shipton's, where 24th ST curves into Gabel RD.

Was a place up the road from me 10-15 miles that had the best prime rib I've ever had. But they burnt to the ground month or so ago.

I liked Guys Lolo Country Steak house in Lolo, MT too for our new guy from Missoula. Not as good as the Rib and Chop House but good. My brothers favorite place when I visit him in Missoula.

Saw that last week. The owners ex (from about 25 years ago, unless there was a new owner) was an ass, but it was a damn good steak house. Financial problems, or legitimate fire?
