Was with a buddy in Chyene and spotted a a nice Christensen arms Ridgeline in 6.5PRC.. Also a LH one. Long story short he bought the RH and I bought the LH.

BIG PROBLEM....... Mine will not chamber any factory round. New Nosler brass would not chamber. I resized some and had to push the shoulder way back to chamber and the brass was scratched to hell.

Called Christensen and they are shipping me a label to return it for repair. Pretty discouraging for what is supposed to be a precision rifle especially a $2000.00 one. My friends rife has no issues and the first group was .650, so there is hope.

I’ve got a LH 6.5cm Mesa.

I like the rifle , shoots well.

Not making excuses for them. Stuff happens.

Hopefully they’ll make it right with little grief on your end.

Also, was rifle new or used?

That sucks. I've been reading about them after handling a ridgeline in a shop in CO and it seems like there is room for improvement in their QC, but their customer service is supposed to be pretty good. Hope they get you fixed up. I might still take the chance on one.

That sucks! Guess they don’t test fire them before they hit the stores.

I have a Lt hand Ridgeline in 243. It’s very accurate. They should clean it up for you.

What? are they test firing a prc with creed ammo, or something, if the right stuff can't even chamber?

How do we know it is not an ammo issue? Ammo makers are cranking out ammo at a crazy rate

Tried 2 different factory ammo, Norma brass and some Hornady once fired that a member gave me a while ago. Nothing fit. I even FL sized the new brass and and I could only get the bolt 1/2 way

down.

My BNIB kimber Hunter in 6.5 CM had similar problem.
It would only chamber new factory ammo but it would scratch the hell out of it and it was TIGHT fit with marks on brass. It did not accept reloads. Kimber gave me Run around for bit, Stating how they don’t want me to use reloads , but only new Premium factory ammo.
Yeah, I think not.
They sent me a return label and they did a “custom polish job” on the chamber. I also asked to see a factory moa target group . 2 different targets were sent back. And she really is moa shooter.
Have to say I am Happy with my kimber.

My 6.5 PRC Mesa had to go back to the factory. Failure to eject. They turned it around quickly. It's a shooter!

My Ridgeline in 280ai shoots well. I just wish I could change the ejection angle so cases didn't always hit my windage turret and bounce back into the action. I hate all these new rem 700 clones that use m16 style extractors. I wish they could get the ejection angle lower on my 280 ai because it shoots well enough I'd like to hunt with it.

My favorite hunting rifle is a 300 wsm on a stiller predator and it had the same problem. I took a tiny bit off the extractor top corner and thought I had it fixed. I've shot several animals with it over the last 7 or so years but never needed more than 1 shot. I shot a bull elk with it last week that was still on its feet after the shot so I went to crank another in and found out I haven't got it totally fixed. The elk dropped while I was clawing the extra case out of the action so it worked out OK but it blew some confidence I have in a favorite rifle.

I've been wanting to try another christensen in 300 prc but I don't know if cases from it will clear a windage turret. My 28 nosler ELR clears but the scope is mounted a bit higher and the stock is shimmed to work with the height.

From now on I think I'll build on bighorns because of their extractor. Maybe buy a bergara 300 prc to play with instead of a christensen.
