OBSERVATIONS Ammo prices are still way up there, compared to Cabela's, Bass Pro, your nearby LGS, etc... AR-15's and parts & pieces were all over the place too. Nothing really interesting to write home about. At least the crowd wasn't bad with lines out the door 50 deep. I did snag a box of FMJ .308 ammo for $19 bucks, and it wasn't that nasty Russian junk either. Everybody from 70-75 year old guys walking with a cane, to younger middle school kids with their dad, made up the mix of the crowd. That is, until around 10:00, 11:00, when "Da Boyz" started showing up. Pants dragging, underwear showing, etc... They weren't interested in ammo or 9mm or AR-15's, which surprised me. They were more interested in machetes, small double-bladed axes, throwing knives, and things like that!

How about rhinestones and beef jerky? Was a stun-gun crackling every 20 seconds?

I went to the Richmond show over the summer. Sounds like the same all over again. Lots of way overpriced ammo and then tasers and swords and other junk.

I haven’t been to a gun show in years but I do have my own personal parking space at the local gunshops. 😂
I’ve been seeing primers, powder and all components back on the shelves everywhere around here. 👍🏼
There’s a new primer brand on the shelves around here….Chedditte (sp?). They are everywhere and they’re $90/1000

Aces; Good afternoon my old friend, I hope the year has been good for you and your fine family, that you all had a good Christmas and despite all the weird in the water you're all more than less well. While I've not seen Cheddite rifle primers, I've got some 209 shotgun primers in yellow boxes from them. I want to say I've seen Cheddite shot shells too somewhere? It's a French company, but the primers and maybe the shot shell hulls are maybe made in Italy? https://www.chedditeitaly.it/il-marchio-e-la-tecnologia-cheddite/?lang=enI've had really good luck with Fiocchi ammo and surely wouldn't not try some of their primers. Same with Sellier & Bellot if you ever see them. Best to you all in 2023. Dwayne

Best pickles ever! As far as gun shows, I see some good stuff at each one I attend and can usually find a good deal on something neat to shoot.

I have some Cheddite primers my Dad gave me before he passed. I never used them for shotgun but they do make my muzzleloaders sing

I went to the Yuma gunshow this morning. Not as good a gunshow as last time 2 months ago. Not as many guns or gunstuff. Many tables not filled, or filled with ladies' bric-a-brac, baked goods, also lots of military junk, chinese ninja swords, etc etc. Did have things of interest, couple of very nice old Schuetzen rifles, several tables with Ballard, Stevens etc, lots and lots of handguns, many Winchester and Marlin leverguns but no .22's at all. The usual tons of EBR's. Miscellaneous bolt guns of all descriptions. Saw quite a few Mossberg bolt action .22's from long ago, only one Anschutz target rifle and no others. Was happy to see a guy at the wall with several big racks full of reloading powder of many types, must have had 2-300 cans and more in boxes. First time there has been any powder at this show for 2-3 years. Bought a pound of Lil Gun I had been looking for, $35.00 but I get maybe 900 rounds out of it so not so bad. Friend had a table there so I sat with him for an hour or so and shot the breeze with friends from the club and other passersby as well. A pleasant morning.

The coolest thing I saw at the Gun Show was a woodworker guy with a booth, and he had these small 1/2" by 1" by 18" wooden displays. Hand crafted wood burning, carving, painting, etc... of the American Flag and the assorted 5 military branches' logo's at the bottom edge.

Best Gun Shows in Virginia are at the VFW in Dale City... I have scored bigly there.
Never what I was looking for but random deals out of nowhere. BLR at $300... 99 at $250... Swap meet powder at $2-$3 a pound... back in the day.
Good VFW chow also.
Think I got a 30mm Kahles once at $150...
Folks in NOVA might want to check it out... been 3 years so maybe things are different now.
If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

How about the idiot with his stun gun constantly crackling and all of the organizations that look at you like you oppose the 2nd when you walk by them?

Thinking back to this latest Gun Show.... The overall crowd and/or waiting line was nothing at any extreme. I was probably 4th in line at the outdoor venue window. I can remember back when Obama was first elected, and everybody lost their freakin' minds! They held a gun show shortly afterwards... Truth: My older bro-in-law and I *tried* to get in to go to it. We saw the parking lot completely packed, and a line of customers that went from the doors, down the parking lot lane, back into another lane, and even doubled back around! I have never seen anything like that in my life! My older bro-in-law and I said, "F--- this" and we bailed out and went back home!
