I killed 23 caribou from 100 to over 500 yards with a RU 77V in a 3 year period. All but the first were bang- flop- one shots - and he didn't know he was dead with the first round, which entered the base of the neck and lodged in the off side rear leg. The 2nd round, broadside thru the lungs knocked him flat.

Then I read in Rifle magazine that it was marginal for caribou.

Damn! My bad!

But...But... But... the BC on the 117 SST is only .39 (G1)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How can you live with that ....let alone kill anything with it?

Obviously you do not know what you're doing!

I shot the 117 gr. SBT’s out of mine and they were devastating to a buck.

It's also a TC Encore Pro Hunter, so it's got that, going against it as well !

Seriously, it's perfect for our weather & our deer.

Get to leave the M99, in the safe, once the weather turns to shyte !

I just don't quite see the bc thing in a hunting gun. I bet 95 percent of hunters will never actually have the need for bc in a bullet. You put a 25 cal 100 grainer in the central nervous system of a deer with a 25 and its done boys. Same goes for a 270 and those no good 130s. Love me some low bc flat based lead.

I bought the high bc 6.5 deal in a mark v accumark 6.5x300 and an 8 twist 6.5-06. Nothing great in my opinion. Made some 600 yarders with those vld style bullets and alot of kills inside 250, I can't say that it was anything better than my 30-06 with 150s or a 25-06 with 117s. I actually like getting that bullet screaming. Speed kills in my opinion.

I’m shooting the 140 gr. tipped game king out of it now in the 6.5-06 but if it was still a 25-06 I would be shooting the 110 gr. Tipped game kings as they seem to be a hell of a bullet so far they are a heavier jacket and harder core than the game kings.
