The U.S. military has canceled a planned upgrade of the Abrams tank, citing the tank's weight and vulnerability to enemy weapons, Defense News reported.
Stephen Bryan, a former deputy vice secretary of defense and security strategy expert, said the Abrams tank could no longer survive on today's battlefield.
"Heavy European tanks and armored vehicles are struggling in the mud and fuel shortages in Ukraine. They are also vulnerable to enemy fire. The German Leopard tank, which was considered better than the Abrams tank, did not perform well, Stephen Brian stressed."

I shouldn’t be surprised but I always am at how fast “we’ll” forget the tragic mistakes of our past and the failures of our previous actions only to quickly repeat them in times of crisis. At a time when logic and reason should be informing every decision instead of fear and anger….considering that fear and anger were the primary motivators in past transgressions and crimes under similar circumstances. Making the same mistakes over and over again while expecting different outcomes….when will we ever learn and when will we ever get tired of unnecessary war?….I fear I know the answer.
