Just ordered a Dead Air Mask HD for my Bergara B14R. Should be a good match I think. Eventually I want to add a Ruger 45/22 for it as well.

Anyone else running that suppressor on a bolt rifle? Happy with it?

I run one on a Ruger American in 17 HMR and am happy as can be with it, also run another mask on a 22/45 lite.

My Mask hasn't been off the 17WSM for quite some time.....

Yep! Mine spends most of its time on my Christensen Ranger 22. The threads on that rifle are looooong, and the Mask is very forgiving in that regard.

I've got a couple of rifles with the longer thread as well and use this Gemtech spacer on. Not that big of a deal but sometimes the suppressor can be hard to remove if there is enough buildup on the threads exposed inside the can.

You guys move your suppressors around much or find yourself buying one for each gun?

Yes and yes. No one ever buys enough at first. After moving them around, you decide to buy more. I have two .30 cal and two 22lr suppressors. I wish I had three of each.

I have a da sandman. Only having 1 i move it around but i kick myself for waiting so long to buy into supressors. I have a 22lr waiting on atf approval and will more than likely be ordering another in the near future.

My new (second )Mask was approved in 23 hours. The OCL Hydrogen-S that submitted at the same time took 4 whole days....grin

4 days on this'un. submitted the 14th, approved the 18th....

Cans are addicting and the massive effort to swap gets annoying. I just got in line for a 2nd Sparrow, I'm hoping for minimal poi shift from my other Sparrow or else I would have tried a Mask.

I'm still waiting on mine. But I did a trust, not individual.

The mask is where I started as well. I need to pick up a few more.

Yeah, it's a real bish to have to unscrew one, and then turn around and have to screw it back on another one. Massive effort? Have you ever done any kind of work involving your hands? Do you even know what 'effort' is? Are you a quadrapalegic?

Did you file yourself or through a service like Silencer Central?

Forget dealing with Silencer Central. Unless you want to add an additional 3-6 weeks to your wait.....

How or with whom did you file yours?

Bought several from Silencer Central, but never again.... Bought several thru local shops, and several thru dealers with silencer shop kiosks. The last 2 (the quick ones) were from the local silencer shop dealer thru e-file (individual).

5 day approval on my mask filed individual.

Really [bleep] up how they're not catching up old orders 1st.

I get short delays every time I purchase a gun, used to be 10-15 minutes. Last two over an hour. Even have a worthless UPIN.

Government security clearance and would loose my job if I couldn't pass a NICS check. But the stupid f'ing Government software doesn't know up from down.

Long story short, have three in jail and it's pissing me off when I hear some of these instant approvals.

I hear ya. I've got two on trusts that I'm beyond the average wait time on. I've had a secret or higher clearance for most of my adult life. What I've gathered from others is those of us with government clearances are scrutinized more than those without and usually take longer to approve. I know, doesn't make sense, but it's the government.

I know of several F4s that got stuck at the NICS check and pushing got things rollin.

I've been spamming the NICS FBI email for several weeks now. Probably put me on the backburner.
