All it does is string out postings on the fire and makes each forum 80% dead instead of 1 forum fairly busy (Hunting Rifles).

If Rick hangs one - great, if not - wouldn't be surprised. The same as I'm not surprised the Ruger forum hasn't shown up yet. Or the Bear Hunting forum. Or an NFA forum, which IMO has a better case for being made as it doesn't naturally align under any other forum like various rifle manufacturers of super common rifles do.

If there's a 16 gauge forum there definitely oughta be Remington, Ruger, and Bear Hunting forums. I mean really, a 16 gauge forum? LOL

Note - the 16 gauge forum isn't specific to one maker but a niche of the hunting community. Which is why we have a "Hunting Rifles" forum and not a forum for every manufacturer under the sun.

Or as a recent post in the Savage Collectors Forum noted a new ‘405 Winchester Aficionado’ Forum in the Lever Action Central category?

I believe the 405 was a niche Facebook page Rick brought over to create a safe home for them?

I'm just saying - Been here a while, the forum requests vastly outnumber the forums we end up with and the likely reason.

I didn't say DON'T do a Remington forum - I simply said why it might not happen, the same reason why we don't have a bear one (which was an epic thread back in the day).

I could see a 22LR forum. That's a broad subject with many facets of interest. But there's Rimfire Central....

I'd take a look at a Remington forum, don't know if I'd be a regular thou.

You mean like the Rimfires forum we have here, directly below Single Shots?

Yes! And we likely need a forum for discussing whether even asking about creating a new forum is appropriate.
Ya all sound like GM, have to call a meeting to discuss what will be on the agenda of the next meeting. And then there's that one person who has to ask a question about something that wasn't on the agenda... 🤣

Remington itself is long gone. Now known as RemArms relocating somewhere south. I hope they succeed a well as getting their heads out of their azzes and start producing parts for the millions of real Remingtons that are out there and wanting to be in regular use. At decent prices.
Hopefully they will concentrate on producing quality arms and not acquiring other companies to ruin like old Rem did.
