I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

in todays world, those of us that are still alive... about 1 out of a 100 took the oath and put on a uniform.
That alone makes them stand a head taller than the other 99... regardless on how short or tall they may be...
at least each were ready to put their lives on the line for our nation. if called upon to do so...
a Salute of respect to each of them...and a Thank You for their service...

Old yes, but I can still whack a silhouette target at 600 yards with my AR308. At my age, I prefer the stand off kinda fights. I can still Field strip and assemble and M-16 blind folded. Less not for get a 1911 too. I maybe 64, but what I was taught, has NEVER left me. Slower yes, deadly threat? Every damn bit as I ever was. Now where'd I leave my Depends and Catheters......Damn, almost forgot, it's time for my daily bottle of Ensure.

Thanks for those kind words. I enjoyed the military and it helped shape me into the “deplorable” that I am today. Feel like all should serve in some kind of capacity. Lots of today’s youth could stand a good dose of regimentation and discipline to learn that the world doesn’t revolve around them. Make some men outta sissy boys. That being said, the military should be for the nation’s defense not to make money for the military/industrial complex. We ought not meddle in some folks affairs. Let them sort it out. I’m an old fart and went thru basic before the volunteer army. The draft was going on and my draft number was 6 that year. Way different back then.

Unfortunately, nowadays parts of the military want to make men into sissies. I know the military saved my life, I needed a good dose of growing up.
