I am finally a very proud owner of a Remington 870 special field in 20 guage with 21" Rem choke barrel. Thank you to the member who put it in the classifieds. I've been searching for one of these for years, always coming up a day late and dollar short. Only ever saw one in person and it already had a sold ticket. This one has some bumps and bruises, but it's perfect for me, as this is going to be my exclusive go to. I've already cleaned it all up and touched up with cold blue and the stock is going to be refinished on rainy days. Love the balance and swing. Feels really good to finally have something I've looked for for so long. I'll post a pick when I finish it.

Excellent. I have one in a 12. Shot it quite a bit over the years. I got it shortly after they came out. Cool gun. If a 20 is your thing excellent.

I had one and initially like the way it handled. Shot a lot of low gun skeet in those days never did well with it, simply swung to fast at stations 3,4,5. Wasn't any better on live birds either, too short of a barrel 20 ga. A couple of years later a bud bought one and it had a 23" tube which was better but still to short. I sold mine and replaced it with a 26" 870 express it had better eggs. I have had it for 31 years now with thousands of rounds through it. It is as smooth now as you could ask for. Mb

I’ve been shooting a 21” for 20+ years. It fits me just right. I might change guns but always switch the barrel to the 21. It works really well for me.

Congratulations. They're nice guns, I really like the way they handle. I've got the 12 and 20 in 870 SF and a 20 gauge 1100 SF
