I own the 8.5x43HG's. PULL THE TRIGGER!!!!!

I am not a big fan of sub 50mm bins. I have very little use with sub 50mm bins. I have used them however and reviewed them. The little 8.5x43's made me the owner of a sub 50mm bin.

They are small, light and can be used with or without glasses.
The are bright, clear, crisp and very handy when I am stalking game or sitting a ground blind.
They are the first and probably the only small bin I will ever own. I have taken them everywhere. From work to hunting to guiding you name it. They have served me very well for what I use them for.
They have taken a beating and still work great.

Buy them and I know you will be very pleased with them.

Kique

Riley got them for Christmas this past year and has used them quite a bit... Many other folks have looked through them in the time frame and been amazed. Quite a few have bought them after looking through Riley's and comparing them to my 25+ year old Zeiss Classics and new Leicas. For the money they are as good as it gets...

Every word Enrique said about the 8.5X43 applies to the 8X33. Great little binocular that I won't give up. I bought them for my wife to get back my Swarovski Habichts. 'tis a good thing I like the Minox frown

I have them, very nice, everyone who looks through are surprised as heck. Except for those who have swaros and the like.. They get mad for spending the extra scratch.

Thanks guys,I'll be calling Doug tomorrow.$499.95 is a great price, even though I'll be paying with Canadian pesos rather than real dollars. It's good to get reviews from guys that actually use the product, and I appreciate the replies.Cheers,Monashee

That's a really good price. I got mine for more than that.

I am the new owner of some 8X32 HGs and they are superb. I paid $399 from Doug. They would have been a bargain at twice that price.

I bought a pair of 10x52's from Doug and like most replies here, everyone that has looked through them has expressed disbelief at the clarity, brightness,a nd quality of the binos.

I'm taking them to Colorado in four more days so will see how they handle two weeks in high desert climate.

I guess the best way to express my view is to say that I'd buy them again!

I must be the Lone Ranger but I was not at all impressed with my Minox HG 8x32. I even sent them back to the Minox importer for comparison with other 8x32s to see if I had a lemon, but I didn't. To my eyes there was no comparison to the Leica 8x32. The HGs lacked the pop and the focus range was very tight in comparison. I even put them away for a while with hopes that it was just in my mind but months later it became more evident that my eyes much preferred the Leica.

I don't wear glasses or contacts and the last time tested my vision was better than 20 20.

Sometimes I keep a king size Snickers bar in my pocket. Does that count?
