ok do you have a picture of a revo II? smile I'd be interested in seeing how aggressive it will be. Tomorrow is July, so maybe they are out? Are they in stores yet?
Everyone I've heard from who runs revos thinks they're really good tires --- lots of mileage, better than most a/ts for tracton offroad, quiet and good wet traction.
I'm thinking Bogger didn't get a reply on the Coopers until now because they aren't very popular. Is that right or wrong, in your opinion? I know it they only get 35k, they will only last me a year or a little more, so I wouldn't consider them.
I see Good Year came out in February with a new Wrangler DuraTrac and it isn't in the stores I've been in yet, so maybe it takes quite a while for a new tire to get distributed?
Thanks

Great information WyoCowboy. Thanks!

Any word, thoughts, perceptions on the Revo II's? I really like the Revo's now. I hope they didn't mess them up.

I just did a google search on Dueler Revo II and clicked on Bob the Oil Guy's site. In there is a picture of the Revo and the Revo II.
I don't see alot of difference, but to my highly untrained eye, it looks like the new one is less aggressive.

the revo II was designed to eliminate the rock flinging their know for and should be a little better on the snow and ice.

I just put a set of General Grabber HTS on my '05 Yukon XL. They are head and shoulders above the OE tires (Bridgestones) in noise, ride quality and wet handling. Have not had any snow to try them in yet, but so far, so good and they were right at $500 installed.

I know some are going to cry foul here, but I got 80K miles out of a set of Revo ATs which I put on my '03 F250 4x4 right after I bought it new. That said, they were not as aggresive an AT as I'd like so I replaced them with the BR Goodrich AT tires which I find are better in the mud. I do not expect the BF Goodrich ATs to wear as well as the Revos did, though that remains to be seen.

Of the ones you mention, I'd probably go with the Yokohama. My opinion, FWIW.

Are you guys finding the REVO 2's in your area? I've been waiting for local shops to get them here for 3 weeks! They still can't tell me when they can get them here. I'm looking for a 285 70 17,

I have an European auto repair shop. I get many request for different tires in many price ranges. I have personally installed Kumhos on two different vehicles. One vehicle was my personal 2000 F-150 4X4. These were the worst tires I have ever used. Required way too much wheel weights to balance and they wore out in less than 20,000 miles. You get what you pay for in tires. Go with the Geolanders, awesome tire!

I got a set about 10 days ago finally. Apparently I got one of the few sets available in that size. From what I can understand from the distributors they've been holding back the revo 2's a bit to make sure all the revo's get sold...

I got them and I like them so far but I've been a REvo fan for a while...

I replaced my Geolanders in 2004, and loved the tires. Lot's better traction than the Bridgestone Duelers it had, and about $50 less a tire at the time as well.

I just happened upon this thread - so this info certainly won't help the OP.

I've got a set of 32x11.50x15 BFG AT KO's on my Nissan Frontier. They've been there since 2005, with approximately 80K miles so far. They are nowhere near worn out. In fact, I"d say that tread depth is about 60% of new. For me, these are indeed the:

Tire.
Purchase.

I just put Michellin LTX on my 4 door Tacoma replacing the Dunlaps from the factory. The Dunlaps did very well on mileage and ride but traction in snow suffered. The Dunlaps went 60K without a hitch. Now with the Michellin puppy sqashers my mileage has been significantly reduced by 2 miles per gallon. Only on my 3 tank but I can see the loss.

I just put a set of Handcook dynapros on my truck before elk season. So far I'm very impressed. We had some snow and a lot of mud.The tires did very well in both.

I have to agree with Scott about the BFG AT's. I had them a previous truck and I think they are the best At tire out there.

Probably too late for the OP, but I just found out from a guy that works at the plant that the Yokohama Geolanders are made in Salem, VA.
