I have a black HS stock that I want to paint olive drag with black webbing. How do I make the webbing. I thought about getting a can of black paint, sticking a paintbrush down in it and then jsut slinging the paintbrush towards the stock. Anybody got a better method to get teh webbing look?

There is a commercially available webbing spray by Krylon. Not sure who sells it, but the link to the product is here> Krylon Webbing Spray I've never used it but do like the looks of webbing on a stock. Good luck!

I have a black HS stock that I want to paint olive drag with black webbing. Of course, if you are really going to do it in "drag" and not olive drab, the "gold chiffon" color would likely look best Just messin' with ya. Some things spell check just doesn't help with.

I was thinking the same thing
I was also looking at the ridiculously long objective bell on that scope.

I bought mine from www.joann.com If you have one of these stores nearby they may also have it in stock. The paint went on a little bit like silly string; overall pretty easy to use. You may want to do a test strip on something that doesn't matter to see how thick of a pattern you want before spraying the stock.

The webbing paint is easy to use, just follow directions. Might want practice a bit first. IIRC, I think I got the paint from www.misterart.comThe action is Yugo 48, bought the rifle 30 years back, was advertised as "Egyptian M98". Bolt knob was flat, I had it forged/bent for scope clearance. As far as the scope goes, it's an older Phillipine made Simmons AeTech, 6-20x44. It is rather odd looking but it's a very good scope, FWIW, it was a $300 scope back in the early 90's when I bought it. Caliber is 6mm Rem, 26" Douglas 1-10, and it shoots quite well.

The webbing is fickle. Practice a bit. I don't spray directly onto the stock, rather start the spray away from the stock and move to your target area. Don't move fast back and forth or the stuff will wad up in the air and you will have ugly blobs on your stock. I ordered from misterart.com as well. Have fun, Ken

Waders has done a couple of those and I bought from him. He could give some tips. The one advise I would give is to tape off the barrel channel and bottom metal areas before shooting the spider webbing because it is somewhat thick. I had to remove the spider webbing to make everything fit properly. Rick
