Yup, the only unconditional love I have ever received, was from my dogs.

When the kid yells at the dog or doesn't treat him nice, I scold him and tell him. That a dog will love you when no one else will and to treat them better. And [bleep] cats. I have a Akita one of the most frustrating and loyal dogs I have ever owned.

Cane Corso and Mastiff are from the same dog family of what my daughter in law calls "smashed face dogs", but are slightly different breeds. They are both a type of Mastiff. My son/daughter in law have a Mastiff and a couple Pugs and that Mastiff is the coolest dog I've ever been around. Once he is introduced to you, he will love you forever. They are the most loving family dogs I've ever seen. Heaven help anyone that is a stranger approaching their people or meaning to do harm- but they aren't biters. They are trained to use their weight to knock an assailant or threat down and hold them with their massive weight until help arrives. That massive head is so intimidating you don't want to move much once they are on top of you and staring you down...

We have a female Akita and a male German Shepherd Dog. Polar opposites in every way except their devotion to my family.

That's the name they use for Italian Mastiff.

Describes my Bull mastiff to a T, everyone loves this dog. The only thing he ever bit and killed with one chomp was an opossum that bit my Parson Russell terrier in a bit of a skirmish one day. He broke-up the fight quick.

False.

Neapolitan Mastiff is the dago mastiff.

A cane corso and a modern mastiff are very different dogs.

False.

Neapolitan Mastiff is the dago mastiff.

I went to the show that had the very first Cane Corso to appear at a dog show in the United States back in the 1990s. I actually went there with a fellow who was a friend of mine at the time (He got me into black powder shooting), the author of The World Of Fighting Dogs, Carl Semencic.

The owner of the Cane Corso told me that Cane Corso was the name they gave to this particular Italian Mastiff. He said it was actually a recreation of a Mastiff breed that had gone extinct.

I wasn't suggesting it was a Neapolitan Mastiff, which is a different breed, but the Neapolitan was actually used in the development of the recreation of the Cane Corso.

Mastiff is a term used for a dog type. Designating it as an "Italian Mastiff" simply means it's a Mastiff developed in Italy.

You said it!

We have a pair of Great Pyrenees pups that just turned one year old this week. We should have bought stock in Purina...

I hope the poultry appreciates our level of investment in their security.

Does it point quail?

Tree squirrel?

Retrieve duck, dove and geese?

Does it run and Retrieve rabbits?

If not, I don't need it. For the riffraff, I have a gun.

A lot of guys need those things to love their women.

Many get a bleckbuck to do the job.

Some get a Donkey.
