A lot of good responses here, but light on data. If you do a search, I tested this several years ago and posted the results here on the Campfire. One thing that is clear.....GUNPOWDER BURNS LIKE GUNPOWDER IS GOING TO BURN REGARDLESS OF HOW MUCH ADVERTISING IS INVOLVED !!!
Figure 18 to 22 fps for every inch of barrel, everything from 223 to 458. I tested the 300 UM with two powders, H870 and H4895. Very slow and very fast. Same results.
