Another thing about using one's hand is one can forgo the histrionics. A simple tap under the chin if the dog bites down or rolls the tongue will suffice. The dog will quickly catch on and stop when it sees your hand/arm move. Then it is time for the ecollar which will let you later administer correction at more than arm's reach.
