I got a little free time and snuck out and killed another limit this morning. Five young grays and a young fox squirrel. Nice and cool at 37 degrees this morning, however, the wind came up pretty early on. They're getting on the ground quite a bit now. Boy those little buggers can be hard to see on the ground. The old M39A did alright though six squirrels with ten shots. I goofed on one and had to shoot it twice, and, um, well the sun was in my eyes a few more times...

Dad and I went again this morning. I killed six with my Ruger 10/22 DSP. Pop killed four with an Ithaca SxS .20 gauge.

MOGC, You get put in jail for shooting gray squirrels in WA. Protected species. Can you believe that? Nice shooting! About 18 years ago I had fun seeing how good I can skin them, but our Springer Spaniel would sneek around my back and eat the hides. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> CaseyT

I guess different areas, ya know? Missouri hunters kill a couple millon squirrels anually, none of that affects thier populations.
I can't imagine a dog eating many squirrel hides! Yuck... He never suffered any indigestion troubles, or constipation?
