I managed to put a couple small dings on the underside of the forearm of my kimber 84 in french walnut. It has an oil finish.Could I take them out with an iron and damp rag? if so how do I go about it? Thanks

I'd give the iron and damp rag a try. With an oil finish, I think the steam will get below the dents and raise them up. You'll have to do some re-oiling when you're finished, but that's easy.
