It featured a standard FSB.

Had an earlier BM with the same problem - rear sight had to be run all the way over to the right to get the gun on paper at 50 yards. Wont buy another.

Don't own an ar that we didn't zero the rear sight windage wise and then center the front and set in place ...

But to be bottomed to one side on the rear at 50 is bad

Problem is simple, every gun company has a bad run of something sooner or later. It's sorting the one "Oh Phit" from the continued slide in quality. Customer care goes a long ways in helping some of the hype, but it can't fix what is fundamentally broken.

an example of one is a .000 group.

Not a 10 shot group. You are very correct.

The early, pre Taurus Diamondbacks seemed to be OK, a pretty standard low end AR. Luckily, they are just ARs, so anything can be fixed. The later, post Taurus guns are just pitiful...

I had a chance to shoot it yesterday. Its a solid gun so good or bad overall, the one I have is worth the money.

Like you said, its an AR - its just parts.

On DPMS, I have owned 4: 2 - 5.56 and 2 - 7.62. Sold one of each and the new owners love them, my son has put at least 500 rounds through the 5.56 and makes sub MOA groups more often than not. I've only put about 20 rounds through the 7.62 for break-in but it was sub-MOA at 50 yards without tinkering with loads. As far as my memory serves, my son's has never failed to go bang except when the brass catcher was too full and it bounced a brass back into the port. We've done extensive load development from ultra-low to fairly stout loads without issue. So that's my story of 4 absolutely perfect rifles from DPMS, all purchased from different vendors from different states (all brand-new; off of gunbroker.com).

This is my hope as I just got one too. Haven't shot it yet as I'm back on the injured list.

One of the worst I have ever seen was a built 6.8SPC a friend I know bought from someone who had bolted it together. Would not eject with the provided bolt. So I bought a extractor kit from STAG and fixed that, I gave him a PRI magazine, we never did fix the accuracy it was just awful, I have no idea what SS barrel was on the gun. He has put it away and never discusses it.

It is entirely possible to put together a POS using poor parts. A good question might be has anyone put 5000-6000 rounds through a Diamondback, or Oracle or Bushmaster etc.

I used to work in a gun shop in Ohio that sold a lot of that cheap crap. Raven's were $39.00. We would take each gun out of it's box just to make sure it actually cycled before we sold them. About one out of 15, you couldn't even open the slide, and these were brand new. They also were notorious for the mags not locking in. If you held the gun upright the mag would fall to the floor.

All most guilty as charged, until I read about them here. I've got an entry level PSA that so far has worked fine and is just plain fun to work with. Next one will be a definite upgrade, and I can't wait. Thinking about a .450.

Finally had a chance to shoot my Diamondback last week. It was a quick trip to the range, so didn't really sight anything in, but it shot just fine--no issues.

I own Colts, Stags and RRA's and NEVER had a problem. Because I unfortunately live in "occupied territory" (NYS, aka Libretard central, well, the urban areas anyway), I figured I'd build my own and bought a 80%, "polymer 80" lower... pure crap! Then I doubled down on stupid, and bought a "el cheapo" 16" upper from a place called "Delta team tactical". I think it was stamped "Omega". Well, when I got the package, opened it, and dropped one of my spare bolt/carrier groups in, it wouldn't even go into battery. Some investigation showed that the gas tube was SO misalligned, that it wouldn't mate with the carrier group. A call to the company turned out to be futile, because the woman on the phone must have been the sister of Danny Devitos mom in the movie "Throw Mamma From the Train" 😁

Customer support sometimes can make or break the over all ownership experience. I got a garbage product at a premium price.

That's very good information to pass along. For what they charge, and all of the positive things spoken/written about them, I would have easily fallen into the same situation that you did. Sorry for your lost dollars, but you've saved some of mine............if that helps at all. smile

I've read several bad reviews of Delta Team Tactical. They sell a lot of the cheap Chinese knock off parts to the unknowing.
