Thinking about selling a Brno VZ24 IN .257 Weatherby. Gun has rust resistant finish, fluted barrel, ported, Timney trigger, jeweled bolt, McMillan black with spider webbing. Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40mm MC scope.
What do you think I can sell for? Thanks.
If it's properly done, which includes good rail work to facilitate proper feeding, Dakota or Wisner three position safety, and hinged bottom metal.....possibly a grand.....but the .257 weatherby isn't what the buyers of highly modified Mausers are looking for.
It just might be difficult to sell.....(at anywhere near the money you already have invested in it...)
If it were mine,I'd sell the action separately....assuming you will stand behind the feeding ability, and the stock and scope also separately.....I'm thinking you will be money ahead of the game doing it that way.
It also will help if the builder of the gun is nationally known.....there are a lot of midnight gunsmiths out there that don't do the kind of work many folks want in a VZ-24 modification.
Good luck to you.
