Where are you looking for a close fit? Barrel channel? Bottom metal? Action recess? Lug? Magazine?
Any Boyd's I have used reguired minor sanding and general clean-up (if anything) to get to work well.

I bought a classic styled walnut stock several years ago for an ‘03 Springfield and it was a very good fit.

I have several Boyd's stocks on Mausers - the 98's were basically drop-ins, the 96 took a little fitting.

Boyd's stocks were a pretty close fit some time ago but I don't know about now. Minor work to open the barrel channel as I recall. Now, if you were looking for a used red laminate thumb hole for an XS7, let me know.

I out a Boyds stock on a Howa mini-action. It was not inletted perfectly with the barrel so was very close on one side, but the rifle still put 5 shots into an inch so I left it alone.

Have owned two, a Pro Varmint on a CZ 457 last year and an SS Evolution on a 10/22 just a couple of weeks ago
The CZ uses a recoil lug set into the stock at the rear of the action and that was perfectly positioned, it snugged right into the action recess and the screws lined up perfectly. Barrel was free floating and centered well in the channel. The 10/22 action was a good snug fit, it slid in with some pressure but didn't need to be forced; it was about as perfect as it could get. The action screw also lined up perfectly without any wiggling or finagling.
Wood to metal fit around both actions was very good, as good or better than many factory stocks I've seen.
So can't say from personal experience on an XS7 but two for two were excellent on other models. I'd have no compunctions recommending Boyd's for someone seeking a good, serviceable stock at a reasonable price.
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!
