Correct sights and still has the ring and staple. Any cracks in the stock? .303 is not rare but probable not a bad price for your neck of the woods.

No tang crack did not inspect it with glasses on! Not interested just posted as it is not what you see up here. Looked original from a quick look. If interested would want better pictures know nothing of the shop.

I would say the 303 is the most common caliber of the F SRCs

Great! Thanks. I have two 1895's that fall into that category. Love to look at them.

And a serial number, please. Not many were factory engraved and I think we have serials on most.

engraved 1895, high grade wood, checkering ,etc. serial #4424 22" octagon barrel, high grade wood, checkering, serial #6247 26' half octagon, cased receiver, high grade wood, Marlin style checkering, plastic buttplate, serial 6274. Serial #'s on these two are interesting. I can post pics if anyone is interested. They will be at Pinedale Savage Fest. They are also pictured in my book on engraved Savages. The Winfield Scott rifle pictured there is now in my possession, serial #4424

I don't think 6247 was on Roe's list. Have you lettered it?

I tried to letter it when the factory was doing the letters. They said they couldn't find it. I have letters on all the others.
