This is a smithing thing but I figured it would work here better. I am replacing a bolt handle in a 1916 small ring. I assume the bolt lugs need to be at 90' when fully locked? I did one many moons ago and it worked fine but my memory is failing as to how I did it. Probably just got lucky.

I think, therefore I am, conservative.
