Looking to do a DIY antelope hunt on private land in New Mexico. Lots of outfitter options, but I’m interested in a private land self guided hunt with guaranteed tags. Any help or contacts would be appreciated. Thanks.

New mexico has some great antelope hunting. Tags can be had. If you have private land, I think they went to otc. Can not be used on public land though. Might be wrong, but I think this is the case.

If you can get access and tags on a private ranch, DIY is a good hunt. Pronghorns are pretty easy and fun to hunt without a guide unless you want a trophy. As a plus it's usually nice camping weather in that season. Lots of competition for tags these days and good deals are hard to find.

NM land owners can sale as many antelope and deer hunts as they want, NMDGF does not issue authorizations like they do in E-Plus. Most larger properties are leased by outfitters.
