Anyone have experience with this rifle? I saw one that looks like it hasn’t been shot much for 750. I have found mixed reviews say the accuracy is hit or miss, so I have put the thought of buying it on hold for now. TIA for any input.

I have an advanced tactical that shoots one hole as well as a Montana that is accurate so I say do it! I have seen a few on Gunbroker and almost jumped on them.

I’ve seen a couple. My only beef with that version is the stock: painted laminate and heavy. They run about 8.5# IIRC.

That’s in M70 classic territory, unless you want to try to find a factory Kimber or other light stock for them to bring the weight back down a bit.

Bench/tactical and heavy? There’s a LOT of other choices. It may be worth the action to build on….if a stock alone didn’t blow up your budget.

With all that being said, a bone stock Tikka T3x 308, will be 2 pounds lighter, and also shoot better. What's the draw to the Kimber?

For what use? Ultralight hunting rifle out of the box? Kimber usually wins that. Tactical/bench tack driver? Pick your poison. The Kimber LPT doesn’t stand out there, unless you’re sweating short stroking and extraction, which several others will give you CRF and foolproof extraction as well.

Not sure how you intend to use the rifle, but $750 for a good condition LPT in 308win is a good deal in my book.
