Back in December or January I posted a WTB for a 28 ga to kill a turkey with. I've taken gobblers with 10,12,16,20 and 410. All that remained was the 28. I generous member here sold me his with the understanding I would sell it back to him once I got my bird. Today was our opening day and this dumb one obliged by strutting in to 15 yards for me. I could not have written a better opening day script. Now I need to start looking for a muzzle loader. Or maybe an air bow?

For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

Nice work!

I suggest the ML, a smalbore rifle if legal there.

While coming out of the woods this morning I got a call from my orthopedist’s nurse with a date for my knee job, so it looks like I’m done this year. Now I have all this crap to put away……

Muzzleloading for turkey is a lot of fun, did it for years with a 10ga SxS. Give it a try!

Thanks all. A muzzle loader is definitely on my short list for next year, Then maybe an air gun or air bow once I figure out if they are legal here.

Had a 56 cal smooth bore for a T/C Renegade or Hawkin. But you already know what a 28ga will do...
