Someone mentioned this the other day, and it's true. I checked their price for Pro-Shot 500 Count Patches (3-Inch SQ.), and Amazon, after all was said and done, was going to be $10.00 more than MidwayUSA.

I always check the mfg website first and will buy direct from them to cut Amazon out of the deal, even if it ends up a few bucks more.
Sometimes check other sites too, as Amazon has gotten too big for my liking.
Might have to get an item on there this weekend though, as I had problems checking out on a mfg website. For some reason they think the address I provided (that I've had for many years) doesn't match up with my card. Sent an email to their contact page on Thurs, no reply yet, no phone number to call, so I may just cut them out of the deal and let them pay Amazon what they need to.

No Amazon is not cheap I just ordered a new fuel filter for boat motor from Cabela's it cost $5 more at Amazon shipping was also more.

Many Amazon items sell for 1, 2, 4, or any other quantity. Many times I've bought stuff 1 at a time because their quantities are much higher than the single item. Apparently many people never check, assuming stuff is cheaper by the dozen.

The last time I ordered Mobil 1 oil filters I could get them in bulk cheaper on Amazon. But that's been about 5 years ago.

It has become a Habit for me to check out several Stores and Internet stores before I make purchases these days.
Ebay can beat out Amazon about 50% of the time.
Recently I was looking for Vacuum Oil and found The Name Brand of the Machine I was putting it into Cheaper at Home Depot than Amazon , Ebay and even the Manufacture of the Oil it self.
Some Times it pays to look around a bit.

Ordered a full set of McGard lug nuts last week (I hope the guy that invented the 2 piece swelling up lug nuts rots in hell) from a parts store because it was going to be a few dollars cheaper than Amazon. 4 days later get notice that the order was cancelled. Ordered off Amazon Friday. They’ll deliver to me tomorrow (Sunday).
Like the old saying goes….
20 Lug nuts in the hand are worth way more than none on the car.

Open markets work. Like other retailers, Amazon has made other sellers up their game. Heaters, Gander Mountain, Cabelas and others also changed things in their time. Not that long ago, you bought what your local dealer had and you paid what he asked for it. Consumers have never had it so good.

The online retail stores are balancing out each other. What we need now is another really good package carrier to compete with UPS and Fedex, one that will handle anything you want to ship, like guns.

I'd rather have Amazon deliver than to go all over town searching and comparing just to save a few bucks.
