I grew up reading my dad's stash of Easyriders. David's art in that magazine formulated what a chopper is supposed to look like for me. All these years later, it still does. Sunday the local trade school had their annual car show. Couple hundred cars, couple thousand (seems like) attendees. Lots of local cars n bikes from all eras. Porsche 911 to rat rod. This bike here was there, screaming "David Mann" and Jeff Cochran to me. Low, rigid, 110cu in Twin Cam, converted to carbureted, shortened front end and well executed. Couldn't see wires or hoses all over. I bet it flies.

The 21/16 tire combo without a long rake is David Mann to me. Everyone sees the long front, Sugar Bear/Mondo/Denver front ends but David painted a lot of bikes without it.

I guess it may be the motor that doesn’t do it for me. Stick a kick starter pan or shovel head on it and I could go back a little easier! lol

A Cone in a Bone works too but damn if they're not as expensive or more than a Twinkie. I've seen 1/2 rotten Knuckles go for 17-20k with title. Just the engine - missing pieces.

I’ve always liked Manns artwork. One of my favorites is the ghost pony express rider in monument valley. It always connected to the spirit of riding with me. I was going to have it engraved on my carb breather cover at one time. I might still consider it if I wasn’t going back with dual carburetors.

I built this while everyone else was going up and out with the front end and throwing 300 tires under the ass end. That’s really not my thing. This was before I swapped to a single mukini carb in an effort to wring all the hp out of I could. I’m going back to the duals.

Exactly. To me bikes either are that 21/16 skinny without being long or are 16/16 fat bobbers. I never liked the look cultivated by guys like OCC or Billy Lane (back then - he's doing more conservative builds since prison). Just not my thing.
Give me rider's bikes like Indian Larry. You can be tall but short trail to be maneuverable. Jeff's bikes, both today and what they were doing at Sucker Punch Sally's - my style.

Good looking bike that's stylish regardless of "when" - not dated like so many bikes can be.

It’s a 3" primo Rivera. It’s a left hand belt drive soft tail, so I still catch a bit schit from the "old schoolers" LOL

Red bike in the 1st post needs forward controls. I'd want them too but the owner was rather short. Like 5 foot 2. I think that played into it.

A few more pics if anyone is interested. When I was building this thing I put paper behind it so I could run off copies and set on my couch in my free time with a pencil and sketch out exactly what I wanted to see as far as what I had in my mind. I had already stretched the tanks here but hadn’t completely carved up the fenders yet. This was mostly for the seat and the front air dam contour. The guy that actually built the seat went with my stitch design. This not a Harley Davidson motorcycle. It is an EVO motor design but there isn’t one piece on this entire bike that is trademarked Harley Davidson.

No ridgids. I don’t think at this point in the game a ridged is my future! LOL I have considered a mono shock tho, if I could keep with an old school flair.

tndr, that evo bike has great proportions, very good. Last evo I had was a '94 road king. Nice comfortable bike.
For me the Evo motor was one of HD best, tall, slim cylinder profile, gear drive camtrain, perfect.
The TC got the blocky looking cylinders, mainly because these engines were making heat and HD needed to add fins to control that.
The latest M8 just ain't the same, mechanical whine from within. Balancers.
