Think of it as a really strong cooler/storage box for off-road travel. Clothes, binos, food, etc.. My 4 wheeler cooler has never seen ice.

The chain is for lifting the 4 wheeler onto the bale bed. That pic was from last spring, I've since trimmed the chain into two pieces and it doesn't run next to the floorboard any longer.
You are right, good way to get hung up for no reason.

Ice is cheap be goddamd if I’d pay $400 for a cooler Word. Ice isn't cheap or available on fly in fishing trips. A good cooler will keep ice for a week. A cheap one will have it melted in 48 hours. That said, I do not own a Yeti but another roto molded brand.
I am always looking for factory wood stocks!
