I can’t believe nobody has mentioned Bowens island restaurant. Fantastic seafood especially oysters. It is just before Folly beach.
There used to be a restaurant on the Savannah River walk that had shrimp and grits with andouille sausage and collard greens. I don’t remember the name but it was the best eats I have ever had.
If you see signs for a VFD having an oyster roast while you are there, go eat at it. You can thank me later.

Fort Pulaski on Tybee Island at Savannah is awesome. Also check out Fort Jackson on the river at Savannah.

+1 on Bowens Island. Frogmore stew and cold beer are hard to beat. Line can be long, so might plan ahead.
