It might be awhile before you see another. If you aren’t in love with the 35 Rem, go for one in 308, 270 or 06. Just as much fun and easier to feed.

I had an early 760 carbine in .280 Remington. Not a tack driver, crappy trigger. My nephew has it now.

"Good condition." Not confidence inspiring. Lack of date of production as the Factory using date codes in such production era. That, disturbs me! Fore stock looks of later vintage perhaps. How late was the .35 Rem chambering offered? I have a 760, intro year of .308 Win with 'corncob' as yet slide handle! I'd like such a chambering, but likely seek a 141 prewar or even Model 14 as the quality charm 'as yet such on purchase'.
Good Luck to any buyer whomever! Best! John

I have the identical gun in .35 unfired-without the Weaver base or sling mounts and it was made in 1981. Now does anyone have or even seen one of the few .35 Carbines that were made?

I have several in the earlier Models 141 and 14 format. The 760 is simply a different creature made for volume production at a price. Absolutely nothing wrong with that whatsoever and I'd really like to have one in .35 Rem. But wouldn't trade any of mine in "collector context". Would also prefer a Model 30 bolt rifle as made in suh chambering. Just never snagged in my era of face to face transactions. Congrats to such 760 owners! Best! John
