H-5000 22-250This was on a local online auction. I caught it just before the end and had a chance to jump in on it but decided not to because I wasn’t sure about the reputations of the German guns imported by Tradewinds. It it had been a 223 or 222 or a 218 where I already had a good supply of ammo I probably would have gone for it, but I guess I wasn’t feeling to motivated to get into a new caliber at today’s ammo prices. How big a mistake passing on it did I make.

A few threads on this here years ago. Try the search function. Offhand I’d say someone stole it for $340.

That's a Krico. I'd have been all over that.

The 223 or 222 would have worked for me but not the 22-250.. Nice rifle but not for me in a chambering I have no use for at any price.

People's needs are different. The 22-250 is certainly a great cartridge that has proven the test of time.

Yeah, if you value a bargain above other considerations, you did, assuming the guy who won it had topped out.
OTOH if you don’t really want or need a .22/.250, you saved your money for something else.
Bargain: Something you don’t need at a price you can’t resist.
That one looked nicely done, but not to my taste.
What fresh Hell is this?

That's a Krico. I'd have been all over that. +1
