Mom has been gone since 2003. Since she went home, I don’t have to worry about flowers, cards and presents. But my Mom was a peach, and for me, every day is Mother’s Day!
There’s never a day I don’t think of her, and praise God, because I was really lucky!

My mom lives in FL so just a card and a gift card for her.
Me my wife and the kids will probably go out for lunch. The original plan was to go to a minor league baseball game but it’s looking like it’s going to be a little cold to sit outside for three hours. She asked the kids to do yard work for her rather than gifts but I’m sure that they’re will be some flowers and whatever they made for her at school.

My MIL died in '22 from heart failure a month after her 2d covid booster. She was 95. My mother died a few months later of a stroke a week after a covid booster. She was 104 but in very good health. Coincidences? Maybe, but maybe not. We'll never know. Their ages were certainly a factor.
So, we're both orphans now. I have reservations at a nice restaurant on Saturday. They're booked up on Sunday.

Both my mother and mother in law have passed on. We have no kids. But I will do something special with my wife.

Mom is going to TN in September, so I bought her a under the seat, wheeled, carryon and I will be taking her to a "classy" burger joint for lunch on Sunday.

We will hike the Clear Creek Trail into the Absaroka Wilderness, if not eaten by bears or stomped by moose we will have dinner at the Proud Cut Saloon in Cody. My wife hatched 4 pretty good kids so she deserves a fine day out.

Mom passed away in November at 88. She had a great life and was an even better mom. First Mothers Day without her.
