Maybe I'll try it again. I use them on my objective lenses just in case I ever forget to flip it up. Last time I tried one on the ocular was many years ago and I remember not liking the sight picture with the cap down and depending on precipitation they can become obscured. These kinds of conditions/shots are common in my neck of the woods. If they were a "just in case" scenario like out in the wide open spaces or stand hunting, I wouldn't be so picky. But based on your recommendation I'm going to do some experimenting.

Just looked at the E1 3-9x40 on their site and it seems that they see them as short-range scopes for MLs, slug guns, and straight-wall rifles. All the current ones have the focus set at 50 yards instead of 100. Explains all the bargain close-outs I guess.


What fresh Hell is this?
