7.62 x HEAVY…..is that thing crew served? That’s 15 pounds of ‘get ready’ before it’s ever fired.

I have (2) M1A's
The Socom 16 & the Scout
Both have Iron Sights

The triggers Sucked after shooting a Match grade Trigger

After I received my M21 built with the White Feather Trigger I switched both the M1A's to that trigger system

My M21 has a March 8 X 80 Scope on it.

I love the Platform of the M1A's and my M21

I would much rather have them than an AR15.

All round Fun Rifles to shoot.

I've got the M1A Scout with the 2.5X Leupold scout scope. Is it a practical gun for any use? Heck no. It sure is a lot of fun though, and isn't that the point of some guns?
Who knows, if I need to barricade up in a room it sure will sling some lead through the sheetrock.

I've been thinking of selling the scout scope and getting an Eotech for it.

A friend had one, with a muzzle brake, reg’lar iron sights from the factory. Mostly I remember it was loud.

Muzzle brakes do that...

Probably not as painful as an SBR AR though....

They aren't "afraid" of the M1 Garand either. Just a relic, as they say. Brandon mentioned this a few years ago.

The Garand is on the heavy side but balances very well. A bit bulky but with no protrusions like high cap mags, questionable optics, etc. The issue battle sights are second to none. Excellent trigger, again, for a combat rifle.

A good one is astoundingly accurate for a battle rifle and the striking power of the 30-06 needs no referral.

IMO, a good weapon for the "survivalist" who takes one shot, maybe two, then rapidly changes venue to avoid inevitable return fire,

The run and gun youtube, Hollywood, commando tactics will not suffice in a fight with somebody who knows what the are doing They will find you and they will kill you.

I've always wanted one (well, not that stubby one with all that schidt on it), but could never justify the (to me) high cost. Of course, nowdays a Mini-14 costs damn near as much!
