Looks like the plan is to beg for foreign $$ if congress tells them they are SOL.
Considering all of their foreign production I say please use Pesos instead of my tax dollars to bail them out.

Have heard rumblings that if GM files bankrupcy the Chinese are positioning themselves to buy GM. Guess I better get used to working for a bowl of rice and some fish heads.

LOL Well at least you will hopefully still be working. smile
To be honest I'm very suprised no one has attemped to take over Ford.
Waiting for Chrysler to be sold for parts. The Tech center is all but deserted. If I could only have the kitchen in that place! They have been doing major lay offs that the news isn't even talking about any more.

I believe that's in the Peoples Republic of Ann Arbor. From what I hear it is indeed up and running.

Our schedules for GM products has gone up the last month or so. Same with some of our Chrysler products. Ford schedules seem to be about the same. With GM and Chrysler it's to the point where we've called most of the people we had on lay off back. Some of our departments are schedules 10 hour days, seven days a week.

Personally, I think it because GM and Chrysler are "banking" parts for whatever reason.

Or, they could dismantle some plants, move the equipment to China and, start making trucks or cars at lower cost (GM already makes Buicks in China). Then, the "Wing Ming Ding Corporation" (WMD, for short) could export bow-tie Silverados to the US.
